Artists and Ballet in the Early 20th Century

In the early twentieth Century artists writers and musicians all worked together in the creation of Ballet. Particularly in Paris and Monte Carlo. Ballets were a total artistic Event.
20th Century artists that did work for ballet included Picasso, Mattise, Dali, Miro, Bakst, Cocteau, and others.

Audiences were amazed by the first ballet to have cubist costumes, sets, and
choreography by Pablo Picasso. Henri Matisse worked on several Ballets with
Derain, Picasso, and Stravinsky.
